Mindfulness Retreats Terms & Conditions

The Mindfulness for All residential retreat (“the Retreat”) is provided to you by Mindfulness for All (“Mindfulness for All”, “we” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern the terms of your booking with Mindfulness for All and your relationship with us. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. By booking a Retreat with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  • Mindfulness for All does not offer medical advice or act as a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.
  • Please note that mindfulness practice can be at times challenging and if you go through major life changes or severe mental health problems, a retreat may not be suitable at that time. You will be asked to fill out a confidential questionnaire and have an informal telephone orientation prior to confirmation of a retreat place. Mindfulness for All reserves the right to refuse bookings if after the conversation we believe this is not an appropriate time for a client to attend. Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 21 years of age.
  • The Retreat includes accommodation, meals, and teachings related to mindfulness and stress reduction. Transport to and from the venue is not included. Activities outside of the usual retreat schedule such as external restaurant meals are also not included.
  • Please note that the actual programme for the Retreat may be changed at the discretion of Mindfulness for All.
  • To confirm your place on the Retreat you have to fill out the online registration form. Each client shall pay Mindfulness for All a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit in the sum of 25% of the total amount due for each person named in the booking form.
  • You will then receive an email confirming your place. This confirmation constitutes acceptance by us of your Retreat booking and a contract will be made between you and us at this point only.
  • You must pay the balance a minimum of 6 weeks prior to attending the Retreat. If you book your place on the Retreat within 6 weeks of the Retreat start date, the full amount will be payable upon booking.
  • The dates of the Retreat will only be changed or cancelled by us in exceptional circumstances in which case any monies paid by you will be fully refunded.
  • Whilst every effort will be made to respect requests for particular rooms and dietary preferences, Mindfulness for All cannot guarantee these.
  • Mindfulness for All reserves the right to reallocate spaces on our retreat if monies due are more than 14 days in arrears, whereupon any monies paid by the client over and above 25% of the total reservation value will be refunded. However, if Mindfulness for All are unable to reallocate a space the client will remain liable for the outstanding balance of the cost of the retreat.
  • Whilst every effort will be made not to, Mindfulness for All reserve the right to change retreat teachers to other suitably experienced individuals or to reduce the number of teachers on a retreat.
  • If you cancel your reservation less than 6 weeks prior to the start date we will offer no refund of the balance paid.
  • You may request to transfer your reservation on a Retreat to another person or to a later Retreat. However, Mindfulness for All reserves the right to refuse to accept such request at our absolute discretion.
  • Once your Retreat has commenced, no refund or part refund or unused portion of your Retreat will be repaid in the event of cancellation by you. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of an insurance policy taken out by yourself, you may be able to reclaim these charges. No refunds are payable for late arrivals or early departures.
  • Please note that Mindfulness for All does not carry insurance to cover loss or damage to your personal goods and these remain at your own risk for the duration of the Retreat. Mindfulness for All shall have no liability whatsoever for loss or damage to third party property.
  • You are strongly recommended to take out your own travel insurance if you are attending a Retreat.
  • No animals or pets of any kind, except guide dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for the deaf, are allowed on any Retreat. Should you intend to bring a guide or hearing dog you must clear this with Mindfulness for All at the time of booking or not less than six weeks before the start date of the retreat.
  • You are responsible for your behaviour during the retreat and creating a safe space for the group is important. In the unlikely case of behaviour that is aggressive, offensive, illegal or unacceptable for any other reason we may ask you to leave immediately. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances and we reserve the right not to accept any future bookings from you.
  • Please note that all personal information supplied by you is subject to Mindfulness for All’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on request.
  • Although Mindfulness for All will provide well-being advice with all the skill and care to be reasonably expected of an appropriately qualified provider of such services, we give no other warranties or guarantees as to the precise results of the Retreat or any future health issues.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit the liability of Mindfulness for All or its employees, agents or other representatives for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud. However, Mindfulness for All’s total liability in respect of any other liability shall be limited to an amount equal to the fees paid by you for your Retreat.
  • Retreats require a minimum number of participants to run. In the unlikely event a retreat does not run for this reason Mindfulness for All will refund any monies paid. Mindfulness for All cannot be responsible for travel / other costs incurred.
  • Should the client have a complaint in respect of the Retreat, the client should inform the Mindfulness for All representative during the course of the Retreat. If the matter cannot be resolved after the representative’s best endeavours to do so during the Retreat, the client’s complaint should be made in writing within 28 days thereof so that it can be investigated. Any claims made after the 28 days period will not be considered by Mindfulness for All. If the client chooses to write to Mindfulness for All via the Internet, please include a home address to reply to in writing.
  • To the maximum extent permissible in law: a) all warranties, representations, guarantees, conditions and terms whether express or implied by statute or common law are expressly excluded; and b) in no event shall Mindfulness for All, its employees, agents or other representatives be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages whatsoever, including without limitation damages for loss of profits or any other pecuniary or other loss whatsoever arising from or in connection with any of these Terms and Conditions.
  • These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
  • The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Term and Conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
  • You may not transfer any of your rights under these Terms and Conditions unless Mindfulness for All has expressly consented to you doing so.
  • If any court or competent authority finds that any term of these Terms and Conditions (or part of any term) is invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that term or part-term shall, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the other terms of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
  • If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision of these Terms and Conditions would be valid, enforceable and legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable.
  • A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions, but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists, or is available, apart from that Act.
  • The rights of the parties to terminate, rescind or agree any variation, waiver or settlement under these Terms and Conditions is not subject to the consent of any person that is not a party to these Terms and Conditions.
  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and changes will be notified to you via a suitable announcement on this website. These changes will apply after we have given such notice.
  • If you breach these Terms and Conditions and Mindfulness for All ignores this, Mindfulness for All will still be entitled to all rights and remedies available to it under these Terms and Conditions or at law.
  • Mindfulness for All shall not be responsible for any breach of these Terms and Conditions caused by circumstances beyond its control.
  • Any correspondence in respect of these Terms and Conditions should be sent by e-mail to info@mindfulness4all.co.uk or by post to Miro Cansky, 13 Clifton Vale, Bristol, BS8 4PT.
