Cultivating Self-Compassion and Kindness through Mindfulness

Cultivating Self-Compassion Workshop Bristol

Mindfulness Workshop in Bristol fully booked now

Is it possible to cultivate kindness towards our experience in times of increased stress or difficult mood states?

Even though self-compassion is implicitly taught on mindfulness 8-week courses, it is often helpful to explore it in a more detailed fashion and see how this innate capacity of self-care can be further developed.

This one-day workshop will include guided practices and talks by Miro Cansky. In a safe and supportive environment, we will have a closer look at how to nurture our ability to skilfully respond to life’s challenges.

What will be covered

  • Practical exercises exploring self-compassionate responses to challenging life situations
  • The role of aversions in maintaining our emotional pain
  • The obstacles to self-compassion
  • Theoretical basis of self-compassion and its place within mindfulness training, including a brief look at the research on self-compassion
